Hello Again

Until last night, the last time I touched this website was more than two years ago. This recent inspiration was thanks to my friend who has also remade her personal website, but I really forgot how fucking difficult this codebase was. I love Astro, but also at the same time I hate it. The first problems weren’t really that big; I just updated the version of Astro I was using, and I had to update some imports, but what really fucked me up was deploying to GitHub Pages. Running the site locally was fine, but actually deploying it recognized that my bullshit code actually hade TypeScript errors because some types weren’t declared. Please don’t look at the commit history because then you’ll realize it took me way too long to figure out what was going on. But also, there’s also something weird now that i’m using pnpm because GitHub couldn’t initially detect what version it should use, so it just killed itself instead. But whatever, that stuff is dealt with now.

Aside from this godforsaken website, my life has also been filled with frustrations. I ordered my first vial of estrogen, and though the team at Symphony is really nice, it did take like three weeks for it to get delivered. Not only that, but I held off on buying the injection supplies (very stupid in retrospect), and I’m still waiting for them to arrive. I won’t get into how much of a chud I am otherwise, but for my fellow chuds out there, just know you’re not alone.
